BUSINESS

At Key Stage 4, pupils are able to pursue a GCSE in Business Studies. The course content aims to actively engage pupils in the study of business and economics, helping them to develop and apply their knowledge, understanding and skills to contemporary issues in a range of local, national and global contexts. Pupils will grow to appreciate a range of stakeholders’ perspectives in relation to business and economics and learn about the importance of ethical and sustainable business practices.

Enrichment Offer

The Department offers subject-specific enrichment clubs and organises a range of educational visits throughout the year. Pupils are able to take part in school-wide competitions, as well as representing the Academy in local and national competitions designed to increase their engagement and enhance their subject knowledge. Intervention sessions to consolidate prior learning and ensure maximum progress are at the heart of our delivery model.
